Hats in the Belfry was born in Historic Annapolis in 1978. That same store location still exists today. In 1997 we were among the first hatters to sell online.

Our success is in the stars, five stars to be exact. That's our standard. To us, 4 stars equals no stars. "Good enough", just isn't.

That five star standard starts, of course, with our hats. We use only the finest natural materials, 100% Italian linen, 100% pure cashmere, 100% merino wool, and so on. When we do blend materials it's with another premium material. We never compromise quality for a lower price, never. 

Our manufacturing partners, legendary craftsmen in the America and Europe, produce our designs. Family-run, generations-old, on- at-a-time hatmakers who help us create one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
