The sun's out, summer is here, and what better style to don than a good safari brim?
These are easily some of the most popular styles we carry this time of year due to their functionality and flexibility in wear for both ladies and gentlemen and everyone in-between, so let's check out what hot this summer season!
Naturally Neutral
Neutral styled straw gives a vast array of options for pairings when it comes to topping off your summer look, so it's little wonder Panama straws are a hit.
The Belfry Portofino and Belfry Niccolo are great options for a more casual, outdoorsy style with their plain leather bands, and the Belfry Portofino in particular boasts a nice three inch brim to help give you fair shade while you're out enjoying the season. If you're like some of us here at Hats in the Belfry and find yourself in-between sizes, the Belfry Niccolo has the added bonus of not only coming sized, but also being adjustable, making sure you get the most secure and most comfortable fit!
From our Handmade for Belfry collection, one of our summer staples, the Belfry Daley offers a bleached and toffee colored body besides the natural straw color if you're wanting the same shape as the Belfry Shofner, but prefer a flat straw weave and some variety instead. The teardrop crown in both of these styles makes them very comfortable to wear, and they are definitely a customer favorite for it!
Festively Funky
Natural straws are great staples, sure--but what if you prefer to have a bit of fun with your safari style?
The Belfry Nesta is a veritable work of wearable art with its hand-painted blossoms on a pastel green sisal body to really make those flowers... pop! Easy to dress up with a complimenting maxi style dress, it adds the chic to "boho chic" for any music fest you may fancy.
Meanwhile, the Belfry Elena definitely brings some funky fun to the table. Yes, it is technically a safari hat--but its focus is most assuredly style over function with its wide open weave and the sheer attitude of the swooped shape of the brim!

If you're a fan of patterns and beautiful bands, hats like our Belfry Lazzaro are right up your alley! The multicolored paisley band gives a playground of colors to pull up with your chosen attire for the day, but the rich mahogany of the raffia straw body keeps it grounded from being "too loud." Due to the palette of colors its boasts, the Belfry Lazzaro will also carry you into early fall while it's still warm, making it an easy three season choice for anyone that likes to pick their hats for how long they'll be able to use them!

Heavily requested by our customers, we absolutely had to listen, and were happy we did, because the Belfry Jolinda and Belfry Brando are hot hats! … Without actually making you hot, despite what some may think.
The Belfry Jolinda is all about texture, overlaying the wide open weave of straw like what creates the body of our Belfry Monalisa to create a fun juxtaposition for visual interest while keeping it a nicely neutral hat. It looks just as cute with a graphic tank and shorts as it does a sundress, and does come in a white option if you are needing a white hat option for an event!
In counter to that, our Belfry Brando is a no-fuss black toyo straw safari hat that is meant to be your grab-and-go style for the summer. Like the Belfry Portofino, it will keep you protected and covered with its three inch brim, and there's a fair bit of airflow through the crown to help you stay cool!
